Behind The Scenes of My Twitter Account – Small Business Marketing Tips Friday 25

In this week’s video, I take you “Behind The Scenes of My Twitter Account“.

I’ve never done this before but felt the need to show you this before the year was out.

I opened my Twitter account at the beginning of January 2017 and started from zero.

After several mistakes, account suspensions and not knowing what I was doing for the first few months. I managed to grow my following list (organically and without software) to just over 26,000.

I show you the basics of how achieved this in this video.

I’m on a mission to help 10,000 small businesses a year with both free and premium content. This could either be an article on my website or one of my online courses.

Why am I doing this? I’ve had a lot of success in my life and most of it is down to family, friends and different mentors telling me where I was going wrong and what to do to put it right. Without their help, I wouldn’t be in the position to help you.

If you could do me a favour, if this video has helped you or given you an idea on how to market your business, please leave a brief comment down below.

Hi and welcome to this week’s “Small Business Marketing Tips Friday”

This week we’re gonna do something a little different. I’m gonna take you behind the scenes of my account.

I’ve been on Twitter for nearly a year now.

I started back in January 2017.

With zero followers and I’m fast approaching 27K followers.

Now, I’m not showing you this to brag and I’m not showing you this to boast.

I’m showing you what’s possible if you, just do some of the tactics that I’m gonna suggest in this video.

So, how am I seeing these stats?

I’ve shown you in a previous video, gonna show you very quickly.

What you need to do is “click” on your profile picture here and scroll down to analytics and it will take you to this screen here.

Now, the reason why I’m showing you this and the reason why I’m doing this video is when I first started on Twitter I really struggled, I couldn’t get any followers and nobody was engaging or interacting with me.

I’m gonna show you what turned things around and what happened.

So, if I click on the “Audiences Tab.” What really turned my business around is actually finding out who I was actually talking to and who is actually following me.

So as you can see, most of my followers are male, so a lot of my tweets are actually focused on them.

If you can look at the interest on here, the “interest tab.” a lot of them are interested in “technology”, “entrepreneurship”, “Tech news”, “marketing.”

So again, that’s the vast majority of things that I tweet.

It’s really important that you don’t copy what other people are doing. You really need to tweet things that are of interest to your followers and that’s exactly what I did.

And that’s what turned my account around.

There’s no point trying to copy anybody, you really do need to find out who your followers are by going into the analytics and actually looking to see exactly what they’re after, what they’re interested in and you’ll see a massive turnaround.

Now, at the bottom of this video, I’m gonna leave a link to my eBook.

That’s “25 Ways” which is one of the most popular “25 Ways To Increase Your Following.”And in the next few days, I’ve got a blog post coming up. That actually explains how I did it in my first year and it’s basically just a little story of what I’ve done.

So, I really hope you’ve enjoyed this video?

Something a little bit different, but it just goes through my first year on Twitter and how powerful it is and how it can actually you.

Alright, thanks a lot and I’ll see ya next week!
